- Oral Cancer ScreeningIt is vitally important that all patients be screened for oral cancer on a regular basis. Imagine Advanced Dental Arts utilizes the Velscope Oral Cancer Screening System to thoroughly examine you for potential cancerous growths that can be missed in routine exams. The exam involves no pain or discomfort and only takes about two minutes to complete. The VELscope system uses a light that targets the inside of your mouth, illuminating any suspicious tissue that could be a pre-cancerous lesion. Survival rates for oral cancer are very high when it is caught early. Oral cancer screenings should be undertaken at least once a year for those who do not use tobacco products, and twice a year for those who smoke and/or chew tobacco.
- Teeth CleaningPorcelain veneers are thin ceramic shells designed to custom-fit the front portions of teeth with minimal loss of tooth structure. Due to the strength and realistic appearance of the porcelain material, this popular dental treatment is renowned for its long-lasting and natural-looking results. In fact, with proper oral hygiene – such as regular brushing, flossing, and routine dental cleanings – porcelain veneers have been known to last decades. Ultimately, with porcelain veneers in place, patients can enjoy whiter, straighter, and more even teeth for many years to come.
- Dental SealantsDental sealants are generally quick and effective solutions for helping prevent cavities and decay from forming on the back teeth. During treatment, a durable composite material is placed overtop the chewing surface(s) of the affected tooth or teeth, reducing the chance for detrimental bacteria to form and cause significant damage. For most patients, sealants can last a lifetime and help diminish the risk of developing further—potentially severe—dental issues that may require more extensive treatment later in time.
- FillingsAlso, referred to as “metal free” or “holistic” dentistry, tooth-colored fillings are safer and more aesthetically pleasing than the mercury-based, amalgam fillings of the past. Our New Jersey cosmetic dentists can treat cavities, tooth decay, and other damage with fillings made of a white, resin material that blends with the color of your tooth. The fillings are also known for long-lasting results and their ability to strengthen teeth and make them more resistant to fractures. Plus, more of the existing tooth structure can be preserved because of the way the resin material bonds to the tooth, ultimately extending its longevity.

- BridgesThe problem with having teeth removed is that the teeth on either side of that space begin to shift and move. When this happens, the bite starts to change which can result in bone loss, decay and teeth not fitting together properly. Because of this, replacement of a missing tooth is ideal for maintaining good oral health. Results from dental bridges typically both look and feel natural, and the procedure has been a staple of effective dental treatment for decades.
- Dental BondingOne of the most frequently performed cosmetic dental procedures to correct spaces, minor chips, and abrasions is cosmetic bonding. During the procedure, our dentists take tooth colored restorative materials and bond them directly to your affected tooth to correct any imperfections that exist. Because cosmetic bonding is a relatively non-invasive procedure, patients who are generally satisfied with the overall look of their smiles often find it a great option to correct small issues.

- Root Canal TreatmentNo—root canals are not necessary for all teeth that receive a dental crown. Contrarily, however, most teeth that have had a root canal will need a crown. When this is the case, the root canal procedure is performed prior to the placement of the dental crown.
- Deep CleaningMaintaining good oral hygiene and regular dentist visits are crucial for preventing and managing gum disease. Regular check-ups help detect and treat gum issues early, reducing implant failure risk. Sometimes, treatments like deep cleaning or antibiotics may be needed to create a healthy environment for the implant.
