In 1949, Richard purchased used furniture from individuals in the greater Lawrence area and from the auctions in Boston. Shortly thereafter, Richard started selling new furniture. In 1954, Richard's moved to Archer Street, in 1964 Richard's outgrew the Archer Street location and purchased the old Lawrence wholesale drug building at 25 Water Street, where Richard's sells only brand new name brand home furnishings. In 1979, Richard moved his used furniture annex to 30 Water Street, across from Richard's 5-floor NEW furniture showroom. Come to Richard's 5-floor showroom at 25 Water Street in Lawrence, MA. Get an idea of what you'd like to purchase. Make an appointment for Richard's to see your old furniture. Make your purchase and Richard's will deduct your trade in allowance from your bill. Trade ins are picked up the same day Richard's delivers your new furniture.
