Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department, established in 1946, offers a wide range of services, such as hike and bike trails maintenance, recreation facility operations, forestry and landscaping. The department operates various facilities, including aquatic center, golf course and learning center, cemetery, gymnasium and nature center. It organizes a variety of sports activities that include billiards, football, ping pong, basketball, baseball, softball, dodgeball, kickball, golf and tennis.
