- Room AdditionsNotable University of Kansas projects constructed in the company’s history included Watkins Hospital, Watson Library Renovation, Fraser Hall, Hoch Auditorium, Spencer Museum, Robinson Gymnasium, Hashinger Hall, Malott Hall, Military Science Building, Kansas Union Additions and Renovations.
- New ConstructionProvided pre-construction and construction services for a 45,000 square foot facility containing a 50 meter competition pool, family recreational pool, and water slide. Mechanical features of the job included extensive pool piping, trench drain system on pool decks, and a HVAC system to temper and ventilate the humid and corrosive pool environment. Additional project features include shower and locker rooms and related support facilities. The project is attached to Free State High School. Work was conducted during the school year and involved extensive coordination with school activities.
- DemolitionThis 85,500 square foot project was completed in 2000. The project entailed construction of a new building to provide offices for three healthcare agencies which were housed in an aging wing of Lawrence Memorial Hospital. The building consists of structural steel frame, metal stud walls, concrete shear walls, and brick, glass, and aluminum panel exterior. In addition to the new building, we phased construction of initial public improvements (streets and utilities) as well as post construction demolition of a vacated wing of Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

- Retaining WallsThe new Lawrence Country club pool was constructed on a sloping site involving addition of a retaining wall to provide the pad for the new pool location. The pool is a cast-in-place concrete pool featuring a zero entry area.

- Residential Roof RepairDyche Hall was constructed in 1901 and is on both the National and State Historic Registers and is home to the KU Natural History Museum. The stonework and ornate carvings were restored, windows replaced, soffits reconstructed and the clay tile roofing and flat roofing were replaced. The interior 7th floor, which houses collections for the KU Biodiversity Institute was renovated. We replaced the mechanical system, insulated the perimeter and exposed the wood trusses that had been covered up years ago by previous remodels.
