Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center, located in Laurens, S.C., is a division of South Carolina Baptist Ministries for the Aging. The center is spread over 55 rolling acres and the community encompasses a main complex which houses several common areas, including residential care rooms, central kitchen, dining facilities, chapel and a central monitoring room providing security throughout the campus. It provides a variety of services to the senior citizens through compassionate care, enabling services, advocacy and responsibility stewardship. The center has been in operation for more than 15 years and is licensed and inspected by the Department of Consumer Affairs and the Department of Health and Environmental Control. It offers independent living in apartments, patio homes, cottages and residential care studio rooms for residents requiring help with daily activities. Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center s skilled nursing care provides a specially designed wing for patients suffering from Alzheimer's disease and other dementia-related disorders.
