Founded in 1979, Product Evaluation Systems Inc. is a mechanical and metallurgical testing laboratory. Based in Latrobe, Pa., it offers an array of services, such as fracture mechanics, stress rupture testing, creep rupture testing, chemical and nondestructive testing, failure analysis, calibration, corrosion, heat treating and field surveillance metallography. The firm caters to several leading local corporations, including Westinghouse and U.S. Steel. Product Evaluation Systems Inc. holds accreditation from Nadcap and the International Standard ISO/IEC 17025 through the Performance Review Institute (PRI).
