They have graduated from accredited medical institutions and are licensed in their respective fields. Instructors include Oriental Medical Doctors, Licensed Acupuncturists, Doctors of Chiropractic, veterinarian acupuncturists, university professors, and more. To be licensed in the state of Nevada, you must first pass the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) examinations. After successful completion of the NCCAOM exam, you may sit for the Nevada Board of Oriental Medicine (NBOM) licensing exam. After successfully passing both exams, you are licensed as an Oriental Medicine Doctor (OMD). There has been an increasing demand and popularity for acupuncture, Oriental Medicine, and other alternative medicines in Las Vegas, as well as Nevada proper. Las Vegas is known for its very low practitioner/patient ratio for Oriental medicine. Currently (2013), there are only about 30 OMDs for its population of two million in Las Vegas. Wongu currently cannot offer admissions to international student. Wongu will be able to accept international students and issue I-20s when it receives Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) certification by the Department of Homeland Security. Wongu is actively pursuing this process.
