- Pediatric CareDr. Kip earned her MD from the State University of New York. She completed an Internship and Residency at Tulane University Hospital and a Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Miami. Before joining the Children’s Heart Center in April 1999, Dr. Kip held the positions of Acting Division Chief and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. Dr. Kip’s practice is based primarily in Reno but she sees patients in Las Vegas and performs outreach services in Carson City. Dr. Kip is board certified in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology.

- Emergency CareIf you are directed by a doctor or decide on your own to take your child to the emergency room, the Emergency Room Physician will examine your child and then contact your Pediatrician or Pediatric Cardiologist.
- ElectrocardiogramYour child’s heart evaluation consists of discussing the history of the possible problem and a thorough cardiac physical exam including blood pressure measurement, regardless of age, in both the arms and the legs. An EKG is usually done prior to seeing the doctor.

- Labor and DeliveryOur Program encompasses the patient’s entire spectrum of care. With seamless coordination of all doctors, specialists and other caring cardiac professionals, we are able to cover a variety of needs. In order to coordinate the best in maternal and fetal care, we perform all fetal echocardiographic evaluations and follow-up studies in the perinatologists’ offices; as the perinatologist is the physician caring for both mother and fetus. A unique feature of the fetal program is organized tours of the Labor and Delivery areas, Neonatal Intensive Care Units, and Pediatric Intensive Care Units for expectant families to familiarize them with the hospital environment.

- UltrasoundEarly fetal diagnosis results in better preparation for parents and physicians caring for newborns with congenital heart disease. Children’s Heart Center’s Fetal Cardiology Program is one of the largest in the nation – we see over 2,500 patients per year. Our program is one of only five pediatric cardiology practices in the United States to receive Fetal Echocardiography Accreditation by the American Institute of Ultrasound Medicine. We specialize in detection, evaluation and management of fetal heart defects prior to a baby’s birth.

- General SurgeryDr. Ciccolo received his MD from the University of Iowa College of Medicine, Iowa City. He completed his Residency in General Surgery at the University of Arizona Department of Surgery, Tucson, his Cardiothoracic Surgical Residency at the University of Southern California Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Los Angeles, and a Congenital Cardiothoracic Surgical Fellowship at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Dr. Ciccolo is board certified in both Surgery and Thoracic Surgery. He joined Children’s Heart Center in July 2012 after a 12 year affiliation with Cardiovascular Surgery Associates in Las Vegas.
