If I could give a 0 stars, I would. I work near this shop and have used it several times in the last year for tire repairs and smog checks. Usually, the service is fast and inexpensive. I have even recommended for my co-workers to go there when they've needed flat repairs because they are so fast and give great service. Yesterday, I went by to get a smog check on my 2 year old Camaro. I would say I was helped by a man named Dave, but "help" wouldn't describe it. Dave came out asked if I needed a smog, then started barking orders at me, "move your car around this way, pop the hood, start the car". At no point was he friendly or pleasant. After fiddling under the dash for a few minutes, he proceeded to start typing my information into his computer, and barked at me to repeat the information several times when he got it incorrect. After typing in my information, he told me that he couldn't get a reading from my car and that it "failed". I asked him how that was possible on a 2 year old car with no check engine lights. He replied,"take it to an R2 shop and have them figure out why." He then gave me a stack of papers with R2 shops and told me I owed $11.95 for a failed smog. I asked him to try again, or to try a different connection cord (he had several). He refused. When I asked to speak to the manager, "Dave" said he was the manager. I paid the $11.95 and went to O'Reilly Auto nearby. O'Reilly scanned my car for free and said there were no trouble codes. I went to a different smog check place on my way home from work that afternoon, and my car passed with no problem. That smog check business said "Dave" most likely didn't connect the cord correctly or didn't put my push start car into accessory mode correctly. So I paid $11.95 for nothing because "Dave" doesn't know how to do his job. Save your money and go some place else!
