During his time in medical school, he received many honors from the University Of Nevada Board Of Regents, including the prestigious Regent Scholar Award. For his orthopedic surgery training, he attended the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and was the top resident in his class. His fellowship training came from the Twin Cities Spine Center in Minneapolis, widely regarded as one of the top spinal centers in the United States.
