Outstanding service, white wine was warm, cold bread, salad looked like it was put in a blender and the steak was rare, ordered well. They recooked it and it was full of gristle - could not eat it. We paid over $100 for 2 meals that were bad.

I stayed at the New York New York hotel for my 50th birthday in Feb '09 and ate at Gallagher's Steakhouse. The food was excellent! The prime rib was the best beef I ever ate in my life. The service was outstanding. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Las Vegas.
We had a difficult time finding a restaurant that would accommodate a larger party (we had 12) and they were able to seat us in a semi-private room. Other restaurants asked that we reserve a private dining room with a minimum charge of $5,000 (not including tax and gratuity). The service was prompt and the food was good.
