My family comes from Las Vegas and my dad knows lady that initially started Spic and Span. The name is because the facility was originally a launderette back in 30's and 40;s. Sure the place isn't new and the flooring isn't perfect but that adds to the atmosphere. Locals are loyal, and every time we are in New Mexico there.is always a trip to "Vegas" for brunch at Spic and Span. The meals are hearty, the wait staff friendly and the food is delicious. Tortillas may be cooked by machine, but the favor and thickness is as close to homemade as I make in my kitchen and I have been making them for over 40 years. If my New Mexico family outside Vegas knows you are going to Spic and Spam, no it's uncommon for a request of a dozen or more tortillas or sopapillas. The selection of deserts is equal to any bakery and then some. Due to the popularity, sure there will be kitchen snafus and longer wait times, but always worth the wait. Enjoy your meal.

We Just love this place every time we are even close we stop. Green Chili is great and they server Starbucks coffee.

We had a great late breakfast/early lunch here on a weekend day. The place was packed, but we got seated quite quickly. The place does need some updating, and the service is not the best, but the staff is pleasant, and they'll get you what you need which is good food, and if you order them...GREAT tortillas. In town, or from out of town, it's worth a visit if you're up for the taste of "local" flavor, and you don't mind the rough edges.

Don't waste your time or your hard earned money eating at this dump. The not so attractive faux paint job should be updated to command the price for a meal at this rickety dive. If you are not a local, forget even stepping foot through the door. The service will surely be lousy. The only thing this place has going for it is the tortilla machine purchased somewhere in South Texas. It is hard to call a tortilla "homemade," when it falls off a conveyor belt. However, it may be the best part of the menu. If you make it to Las Vegas, look around, the best meals will be found in the strangest places. The place could be compared to lipstick on a pig, it may look cute, but you still wouldn't want to kiss it. There are other places to eat in town,, not just the first place you see with the most advertising, thanks to the tortilla machine. You would think that that thing spits out gold for what the guy wants for a dozen tortillas at this run down dive.
