General Info
Combining his vast experience as a board-certified general surgeon with highly specialized vascular and endovascular training, Dr. Latif offers patient-focused solutions and a warm bedside manner. Before deciding to focus on vascular and endovascular surgery, Dr. Latif served as chief surgical resident at St. John's Episcopal Hospital - LIJ in New York. He went on to pursue a fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in New Jersey. For over a decade, Dr. Latif provided medical care and his knowledge to patients at Mercy Medical Center, Fresno Heart Hospital, and Adventist Health Central Valley Network. His experience includes many hours as a clinical instructor in surgery at A.T. Still School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona, Touro University School of Osteopathic Medicine and the UC Davis School of Medicine in California. Prior to joining MountainView, Dr. Latif served as medical director of The Wound Care Center and chairman of the department of surgery at Adventist Health Delano Regional Medical Center and Hospital. Dr. Latif is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. He is a member of several professional organizations including the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, the International Society for Vascular Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. During his free time, Dr. Latif enjoys rooting for his son who is a UCLA competitive butterfly swimmer, Team USA Youth Pan American Games silver medalist in epee fencing, and two-time Alpine skiing gold medalist. When not traveling or working, Dr. Latif relaxes at home with his family, which includes their beloved dog, Miss Daisy, a ten-year-old mixed breed Lhasa Apso rescue. Dr. Latif is also a PADI-Certified Open Water Diver.
