Mr. Sensitive rates this restaurant around 48th for the total dining experience among Mexican food restaurants in the Las Cruces area. Saenz Gorditas is a little restaurant offering no indoor dining. They have a few tables out front or you can drive away with your food. Prices are fairly reasonable. After 2:00 in the afternoon they sell their gorditas cheap. The service at the front window is business-like. The menu is a little restrictive. They serve essentially New Mex food. Most of their food I have found to be sort of average in quality. Their gorditas, however, are pretty good. Some will argue that they are the best on the planet. Well, they are not, but they are good.....well seasoned and containing a little potato. Customers like the place because the food is ok, the prices are reasonable, the service quick, and there is no tipping. Bottom line: how often do I go? Once in a while. I do enjoy the gorditas...usually don't buy the other stuff.While the food quality here is average overall....the dining experience suffers due to having only a couple picnic style tables out front.
