The Utilities Department is a part of the government of the City of Las Cruces in New Mexico. It administers service connections, billings and accounts for the city s gas, water, wastewater and solid waste utilities. The department offers a range of curbside and grappler pickup services for city residents. The Utilities Department operates a recycling center that accepts tin, aluminum, corrugated cardboard, plastic, household hazardous waste, newspapers, appliances, scrap metal and tires. It maintains an online application that allows clients to pay their utility bills through credit cards. The department also provides water planning and infrastructure development services. In addition, the Utilities Department conducts a water conservation program.
