• Nutritional Counseling
  Recent research suggests that breeders know little about pet nutrition in pregnant female dogs, whelping females and puppies. Yet less than half of breeders consult with veterinarians regarding nutrition for gestation, lactation or puppy nutrition. One study found that 16.9 percent of breeders who fed commercial diets did not feed one intended for gestation and lactation.

Illness Treatment

• Parasites Treatment and Control
  Pharmacy: We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription diets.
• Pain Management
  Anything that causes pain in people can be expected to cause pain in animals. Pets may not show the same symptoms of pain as people do; they usually don't whine or cry, but you can be sure they feel it. Pain medications needed will depend on the surgery performed. Major procedures require more pain relief than things like minor lacerations.
• Vomiting Treatment

  Some conditions will improve with one or two K-Laser Treatments, such as post-surgery. Other conditions may require a series of visits over a few weeks. Examples would include lick granulomas, otitis and trauma. And some chronic conditions may require regular maintenance K-Laser treatments, such as arthritis and disc disease.

  Over 85% of pets 2 years and older show some sign of dental disease. Toy and small breed dogs are especially prone to dental disease. Periodontal disease is a painful, infectious disease that leads to the destruction of the tooth’s supporting structures. The bacteria can travel through the bloodstream and cause serious infections in the liver, kidneys, heart and lungs.

Lab and X-Rays

• Laboratory Services
  We offer three levels of in-house blood testing before surgery, which we will go over with you when you bring your pet in. Our doctors prefer the more comprehensive screen, because it gives them the most information to ensure the safety of your pet. For geriatric or ill pets, additional blood tests, electrocardiograms, or x-rays may be required before surgery as well.
