- Our Identity:At Grace Bible Church, our motto is, “Communicating the Grace and the Knowledge of God”. This motto is derived from two things: our name and our purpose as they are established in our Constitution. Our name represents who we are.Grace: Grace is God’s unmerited favor shown to us in creation (we exist, Rev 4:11), providence (our needs are able to be met, Acts 14:15-17), and the Good news of Jesus Christ (Eph 2:8-10). Since God’s grace has done so much for us that we cannot do for ourselves; therefore we should reflect such grace.Bible: We want to be people who are serious about knowing God, and final authority for what we claim to know about God is the Bible (2 Tim 3:16-17). Therefore the Bible is the foundation of our teaching. This does not mean the Bible is an end in itself; it ot. The Bible is a means to an end: knowing God. It is a trustworthy map used to guide us through life’s journey. We exist to experience God (John 17:3). The Bible gives the ability to place life’s journey in its proper context so this can occur. That is true knowledge (2 Tim 3:15).Church: The Church is not a building, place, or religion. It is people called by God to represent Him and show others what God is doing in their lives. God wants to change lives though the power of Jesus Christ. The people who have experienced that power are the Church (2 Tim 3:5), which includes all believers throughout the world (1 Cor 12:13).
General Info
We attempt to impact our community not only by equiping lay people to lead ministry and impact the world for Jesus Christ but also to embrace the demographics of where we live (Acts 17:22-31) as God ordained. That is, as our community is composed of people from many countries and backgrounds, we make efforts to ensure all are welcome and all can worship our Lord freely and together. Our PurposeTo maintain a place of worship for believers of the Lord Jesus Christ. To teach the whole Bible as the inspired Word of GodTo proclaim the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the unsaved. To fellowship with those of like precious faith. To support home and foreign missions which hold to sound doctrine as set forth in this Constitution. This fivefold purpose statement provides structure to everything we do. It forms the foundational “5 Rocks” of our ministry. Building on this foundation takes two things: Visionary Leadership and Practical Application. Visionary Leadership sees what God is doing and applies it in today’s world. Practical Application meets us in the daily grind and lifts our eyes to God. Ministry Impact occurs where Visionary Leadership and Practical Application meet. Since we want to be people with Ministry Impact, we seek to combine vision with practical application in each of the five facets of our purpose.
