General Info
To provide high quality education following the teaching principles of Dr. Maria Montessori and to develop the relationship between the child's physical, social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual development goals. Dr Montessori believed that education is a preparation for life, and not simply a mastery of intellectual skills. The activities and environment provided in a Montessori school stimulate and develop a thirst for learning, a curiosity about one's surroundings and a desire to discover and to do things for oneself. we hope during a child's development he will learn to solve problems using an organized approach, to use freedom wisely, to respect others, and develop a love for learning. The following are some of CMA's goals: To help the child develop both socially and emotionally. To help each child build a positive self image. To help each child develop self-confidence as an independent learner. To help each child build concentration, persistence and initiative. To help develop sensory-motor skills. To help nourish an abiding curiosity, and inner security, and a sense of order. To help develop academic skills through the use of Montessori materials. To request a tour of either campus and meet the teachers, please feel free to call to schedule an appointment.

My wife and I have had our daughter enrolled at the Tobacco Road Montessori location for over two years. The school is not cheap; over $700 per month plus annual incidental (supply) fees of over $250. We are not wealthy parents but we care about our daughter's educational beginning. It has been well worth it. The Teachers are very caring and highly skilled in The Montessori Method. There is both a low instructor/teacher turnover rate (Which means they are happy in what they do) and student turnover rate. They always have fun little gatherings (P.J. Party/Movie Night sometimes from 5-9 pm, so the parents can go out for dinner) and in-school plays/productions that are educational as well as fun for the kids. Plus, they have "Pizza Wednesday" so you can get a break from packing a lunch everyday. They use discipline with "Reasoning and Thought" not spanking or embarassment. They are good at keeping parents informed (Lots of conferences) and child security procedures are excellent.
