Lancaster Monuments helps our customers with custom memorials made of fine quality granite from around the world. We specialize in cemetery monuments and markers as well as public memorials, commercial signage, bronze commemorative plaques, and pet memorials. Cremation urns, memorial lights, plant stands and cemetery vases are also available. We add lettering to existing monuments and provide maintenance services to clean, reset, or repair memorials as needed. Established in 1940. Lancaster Monument Company was established by Roland Roggensack at 334 W. Elm Street in 1940. Monuments were made by hand until Robert Meyers renovated the facility into a mechanized workshop when he bought the company in 1962. Walter and Rosemary Yager purchased the Lancaster Monument Company in 1966. The Yagers made many improvements over the years, including purchasing advanced sand-blasting machinery and other modern equipment. The Peter Troost Monument Company purchased Lancaster Monument Company shortly after Mr. Yager's death in 1990 - Rosemary Yager Kuenster continued to operate the business she built with her husband until retiring in 2012.
