As a parent of LMH alumni, I know that LMH students are helped to integrate values and beliefs into all that they learn about the world. If a parent really cares about Christian values, beliefs and lifestyle, LMH can help to make those things an integral part of a student's life, not just one compartment. I like to think of the school as having "Christianity without the hard edge." The school is very accepting and caring, which some may interpret as "liberal" or "lenient," but which I think is Christ-like. The school encourages an atmosphere of mutual respect and uses restorative discipline rather than harsh punishment. At the same time, the school has facilities, programs and faculty comparable to the best local public schools. Kids may not appreciate the importance of all this, so I encourage parents to take leadership in the enrollment process. Your kids will thank you later when they are mature enough to realize the benefits and blessings of a holistic education!
