Thank you for your interest in Harvest Church. Please let me share with you, briefly, who we are, where we have come from, and Lord willing, where we are going. Harvest began in January of 2002 as a Bible study meeting on Sunday evenings in the basement of a Willow Street diner. God blessed our fellowship. So much so, in fact, that we were able to move out of the basement and onto ground level that April when we began holding public worship services in a local church building. Jesus Christ continued to build us so that by January of 2004 we were able to elect our own church officers and organize as an independent congregation. That September more prayers were answered and another dream was realized when we were able to purchase five acres of excellent land near the intersection of Gypsy Hill Road and Beaver Valley Pike. Today, as our congregation grows, a committee of capable men and women is guiding us to the day when we will break ground for a new building. There we will continue to worship God, study his Word, support one another, and serve our community and the world. In the meantime, our temporary meeting place is the Lancaster Seventh Day Adventist Church at 81 South Conestoga Drive conveniently located not far from the Bridgeport intersection. On Sunday mornings we are within a fifteen-minute drive of much of Lancaster, Willow Street, and the Lampeter-Strasburg area. Sunday morning worship begins at 9: 15 a.m. and Sunday School for all ages at 11: 00 a.m. Our great desire is to be fruitful disciples of Jesus Christ by growing in a deep knowledge of God, being renewed in the likeness of Jesus, and extending his transforming kingdom into our community and world. We are firmly rooted in the historic Christian faith but with a contemporary sense of mission.
