- Pediatric CareEden Park Pediatrics strongly believes that the current vaccine schedule is the safest and the most effective way to immunize your child. If you refuse to follow the current vaccine schedule, we will ask you to find another health care provider who shares your views. Refusal to vaccinate your child per the recommended guidelines places your child at a serious health risk. We simply cannot do that.
- Primary CareAs your Primary Care Providers and Medical Home, we want to partner with you to make sure your child is getting the right care at the right time from the right provider. For most medical issues, our doctors have the training and expertise to evaluate and manage the issue in our office. Occasionally, we will refer your child to a specialist. In that case, we will want to introduce your child's case to the specialist, as well as help you manage and coordinate your child's care.
- Ear InfectionsColds, upper respiratory infections, and URIs are common terms we use to describe viral illnesses that cause nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, fever, and cough. The fever usually lasts for 2-3 days, and the cough with congestion and runny nose may last for 5-10 days. The typical preschool-age child may experience 6-10 colds per year. Most colds resolve on their own with rest and fluids, but some may lead to ear infection, sinus infection, asthma attack, or other complications. If you are concerned about the possibility of one of these complications, please have your child seen in our office for an evaluation.
- Emergency CareOne of our doctors will call you back, typically within 30 minutes. She/he will help you decide whether your child's illness can be managed at home, in our office, or if an Emergency Room Visit is needed.

- AutismWe firmly believe that the current vaccines are safe and effective. Vaccines do not cause autism or developmental disabilities. Thimerosal is still a preservative in a few vaccines and has been shown not to cause autism or developmental disabilities nor an elevated mercury level in those patients who have received thimerosal containing vaccines. The previous concerns about the association of the MMR vaccine and autism has been refuted and multiple studies have shown this to be a safe and effective vaccine. Separating vaccines to give over additional visits goes against expert recommendations and is not supported by any scientific data.
