Lamar High School, a part of the Lamar School District, is an educational institution that serves students in grades 9 through 12. It offers a variety of academic programs in core subjects, such as English, math, science and social studies. The school also provides instruction Spanish, computer literacy and physical education. Lamar High School organizes a range of athletic activities that includes football, basketball, baseball, softball, golf, cross-country, cheerleading, and track and field. It maintains a library media center that houses curriculum-related books, encyclopedias, dictionaries, magazines, newspapers, pamphlets, CDs and audiocassettes. Located in Lamar, Ark., the school has a student council that hosts various events to support students.
