I have a family member staying at Atlantic Coast Rehab and I can honestly say You have to keep at the nurses at all times. I have seen on many occasions where patients are being neglected. If you're not able to spend a lot of time with your loved ones, the nurse don't care. They tend to hide in a room and close the curtain while playing or talking on there cell phone. I've seen it several times.Some of the nurses care but others are just there for a paycheck for doing nothing. Some have no clue as to what they are doing. I witnessed this with one of the nurses recently telling another nurse she didn't know how to go about doing a particular procedure. HELLO, they are certified for this kind of stuff. I personally would think that if they got into this field of nursing they would take the time to be more compassionate of patients needs if not, find another job!! I got the impression that if you ask a nurse to do something for your loved you, they act like you are bothering them. Dislike

i.e., A local favorite, or highly recommended because I use to be an employee at Atlantic Coast & i can honestly tell you that i would never bring a loved one to that Facility. The Management is all about profit and covering their own behinds. If a resident/Patient does not have family that visit regularly that patient will get neglected. If you are staff & report something it gets ignored. The 11 to 7am shift is horrible the Nurses & Nurses aids vanish and only come back for last rounds. I was also sexually harassed by a male nurses aid and little to nothing was done about it. If the Management does not like you they put you to work in Manor Wing. If you get hurt on the job they go against the Doctors orders and assign you tasks that you are not able to do just to make you leave. I have Witnessed and reported so much neglect in this facility & it was all ignored.

I have been to Atlantic Coast many times and the staff are always friendly and very attentive to the needs of the residents!

Atlantic Coast Rehab is a very attractive nursing home, all i want to say to anyone who is considering putting their loved one here is check on them often, report any abuse to management.
