Jefferson Hills is a nonprofit residential treatment center for adolescents with severe emotional and behavioral problems. It is a subsidiary of Jefferson Center for Mental Health and provides intensive assessment and therapeutic and other service programs. Jefferson Hills is a licensed residential child care facility and a designated residential treatment center. It serves a range of problems, such as inadequate impulse control, runaway behavior and poor coping and imparts problem solving skills. The center s staff includes licensed psychologists and psychiatrists who provide consultation, testing and medication management services. In addition, it provides special education services to students by experienced and certified teachers in accordance with the Individualized Education Plan. Its on-site schools are fully accredited by the Colorado Department of Education. The center is located in Lakewood, Colo.
