Although part of a national chain, this restaurant is more like a local cafe. The long-time servers know the regulars, how they like their coffee, eggs. etc. Service is almost always excellent; occasionally, a kitchen problem or an exceptionally large, sudden crowd (like a large team arriving unannounced) can cause backups, but that is the exception rather than the rule. The manager is always involved to keep things running smoothly; and it works. Late afternoon and evening service can be erratic (costing the review a star). Food is served hot, coffee cups always filled and they can always modify the menu items for personal preference; eg. fruit instead of potatoes (except for the super value items). I'm rarely disappointed here, especially for breakfasts. Lunches/dinners are OK but not exceptional. Prices are good and they also offer an AARP 15% discount; great for us old folks.
