General Info

Dr. Furniss is a board-certified dermatologist and member of the American Osteopathic Association who was born and raised in Humboldt County in Arcata, California. She graduated with high honors from UC Berkeley and is a diplomate of Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in California, graduating third in her class. After completing a two-year post-doctoral clinical research fellowship in autoimmune diseases of the skin at Columbia University in New York City, Dr. Furniss completed her Dermatology Residency at Michigan State University/Botsford Hospital where she served as Chief Resident in her final year. Returning home to California, Dr. Furniss brings over ten years of medical training and experience to Integrated Dermatology of Lakeport, PC.
