- Offering private or group piano lessons to students of all ages and levels, instruction at Rock Lake Piano Studio focuses on helping students understand music conceptually, allowing them to become functional piano players who then develop creativity and an appreciation for the arts. The goal is not to pass to the next song from one week to the next, but to teach the elements of music that students can apply toward any piece of music they wish to learn. As a result, students become independent thinkers and musicians, functional in practical skills such as sightreading and improvisation, and highly developed in aural awareness and musical expression.

General Info
Our mission is to develop within students both passion for art and self-expression as well as skills enabling creativity and the ability to share music with others. These long-term goals are achieved in weekly lessons by acknowledging that students commit to music when they feel successful in their lessons. Our instruction achieves this by teaching students to master the building blocks of music. When music becomes accessible in this way, music is fun for the student and gives them confidence to try new challenges. This is the ultimate goal of every lesson we teach!
