The Lake Mills area deserved to have a grocery store that had their customers in mind. A store that doesn't charge an arm and a leg for everything that you need. Lake Mills went through a lot of years with that kind of over-pricing from Sentry. Interested in the new store and job opportunity I decided to apply for a job and got it. I was extremely excited -- that was until I realized how it was far from what they talked my position up to being. Any business should be focused on their employees and being sure that they are treated with respect, especially since they are the ones keeping the store going each day. The Market is far from concerned about their employees. Instead of caring about them they push them down by giving them terrible wages and being sure that their voices on problems are never heard. Coming from numerous part-time jobs in my past with many different management experiences, I've realized that their management is far behind the standards businesses are supposed to withhold now-a-days. Word gets around Lake Mills very fast, and many employees are making sure everyone knows how you're treated if you would be to decide on taking a job through their business. Yes, it is a grocery store, but the way they treat employees as if they can be thrown away at any moment will only continue to ruin them. What happens when people stop applying? The store potentially will shut down. Standards at this store are not where they need to be and until they fix their inside problems I will recommend everyone to seek food elsewhere - and DEFINITELY find a job where you're treated as a human being. If you want hours do NOT work here either. I understand this review looks like a big rant, but I believe everyone needs to see what goes on in the inside. I know I don't like buying anything from places where their employees are treated as if they are completely worthless. Also - don't be shocked when the prices rise just as high as Sentry's are because each day they are getting less and less business. Eventually, if they don't get their act together, the place will either be closed or prices will be so high that almost nobody will be continuing to shop there.
