We have lkived at Oakmonte for year -- the best year of our life. Our apartment is great & includes a washer/dryer, Never had so many friends. Don't have to cook ! Lots of activities and amenities. Our children are thrilled to see where and how we live. I feel totally safe and cared for. All of the staff are anxious to please and cheerful. We've had some great parties, too. Well-mannered and friendly people from all over and every religion and background make it a truly wonderful life. I can't praise it enough.

I am a senior who lived at Oakmonte Village for a few months and found the place to be terribly mismanaged. Many things that were promised never came to pass. I moved to a different independent living facility a few towns a way and it's great. They have an active community where I live now with lots of things to do.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! Looked at Oakmonte Village-Lake Mary with my parents and after a nice tour and happy hour they sat us down and gave us the "Think you're good enough" sales pitch." It was obvious that they cared more about money than people. I got the feeling I was being swindled from the start and after talking to two other elderly people who live there the care is non-existent once you move in. They only serve one meal a day (two if you count the Holiday Inn-style continential --basically non-nutriitional breakfast they serve daily)
