We live in Lake Havasu four to six months a year. We also live in Baker City, Oregon. My husband and I have visited LHC elks several times during our months in Arizona and have met many friendly people. However, our experience at the Elks was not that friendly this weekend of the Desert Storm Boat races. When we entered the Elks my husband card was checked and the man was not friendly and we were told to write down our guests in the guest book which we did. We were not there to cut into the line of the ribs on Wednesday or the hamburgers on whatever night. We wanted our guests to have a couple of pitchers of beer. Everyone was gathered around the bar so we had to ask if we could sit at a dinner table which we did. Our waitress was friendly but, however; our guests felt unwelcomed. We had our beer and left and I apoligized about the atmosphere to our guests. Even though our lodge is small in Baker City, our guests would never feel unwelcomed there.
