- Prisoner Assistant is a financial concierge company designed exclusively for prisoners. It is the first and only company of its kind. Prisoner Assistant is a leader in Rehabilitation and Re-entry planning services for those incarcerated in the United States. We go well beyond the traditional approach of theoretical education and marginal preparation. We empower prisoners, allowing them to take control of the direction of their lives. We give them real world tools that are essential in their efforts at meaningful preparation for release as well as the stabilization after release and their continued success in society.
General Info
So what is a Financial Concierge? First, we open a functioning bank account with a reputable bank for each client, which is the foundation for all of our services. We then weave the client’s personal information in such a way that it creates a worldly presence for them. They will be released with a long standing bank account and credit history (if they desire) which will help prepare them for re-entry into society. We often say “if it can be done, we will try to do it†and we mean exactly that, so in addition to the many services we offer, we also do what we call “self-directed services†for our clients. It is truly an individual experience and what services the clients choose to use is entirely up to them. In all of our communication with our clients we focus on preparing for re-entry; that means different things to each client. Some want to place their money in higher interest accounts to save for release or to develop their credit by applying for secured credit cards. Some want to order gifts for their loved ones, get recognition for their art work or writing, develop a business idea or strengthen their relationships with family and friends. Some want to educate themselves, some want a voice to advocate on their behalf and some just want to be heard and reach out into the world. Prisoner Assistant gives them the framework and tools to do these things. We unlock their minds and bring the world to their fingertips. Most prisoners will in fact be released. They will be released to our communities, so the question we pose is who would you rather be your neighbor? An unprepared, newly released offender with no direction, no money and no prospects or would you prefer someone who is better prepared for the reality of the world? Someone who has learned how to manage their money, who has funds saved for the future; someone who understands the value of a banking relationship and credit history; someone who cares about strengthening their family ties and relationships with loved ones; someone who has educated themselves, developed a resume, business plan or portfolio and has direction; someone with focus and vision; someone who has made mistakes and has taken responsibility for them; someone with dreams and a life to live. Someone just like you.
