These people are SCAM ARTISTS - DO NOT THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY!!! They've had 119 complaints filed against them with the Better Business Bureau within the past 12 months, and only responded to 3 complaints according to the BBB records; and, they only resolved 2 complaints to the customer's satisfaction. I ordered $200 worth of DVDs and after 6 weeks still have not received them. Their voicemail has been full for a month so you cannot leave a message, and they will not respond to emails. Also, their web site was down for 4 days in a row. I believe they are almost defunct, and simply taking everyone's money with no intent of delivering the products. I'll bet they file for bankruptcy soon - another Madoff scam?
I purchased a Nintendo DS from Game Destinations / DVD World on Dec. 17th. I checked out through Google checkout and was charged for a Nintendo Ds. It is now Jan. 5th. DVD World will not answer my calls or email's. I would understand if someone would call me and say it was an oversight or its on back order, but i have had zero customer service from this company. Do not buy anything from them!
From what appears to be a legitimate online business is simply just a ruse to acquire your $, and NEVER ship the item(s) ordered! Further, forget about attempting to contact the company a/or file a complaint with them directly. They blatantly IGNORE any/all attempts to resolve the matter via email, live chat w/customer service, or their alleged business phone to place orders. All you receive is a perpetual message that all of their customer service workers are busy, and a request to leave your name and number! As of this date (07/01/06), I have initiated a formal complaint against DVD World Online with the following businesses: 1) United States Postal Service - Postal Fraud Division; 2) Better Business Bureau of Lake Grove, NY; 3) Attorney General's Office of New York. Please know that, as a CONSUMER, you have the right and responsibility to report consumer fraud on any business who engages in unethical and unfair business practices!
i ordered 2 games and was charged almost a hundred dollars to my account on dec 2nd..2 weeks later i received NOTHING..3 days ago,they e-mailed me and told me they were "looking into" my order...3 days later,they don't even have the decency to answer my e-mails...it's now 2 1/2 weeks since my account was charged..they never e-mailed me to tell me my order was filled or that it was shipped...AND i paid to have it sent via ups..i should have gotten it in 2 days.these are games i ordered for my son and grandson for christmas...this is a cruel thing to do at this time of year......i will NEVER do business with these crooks again...
