Lake Butler Middle School provides general academic programs for students in grades five through eight. The school conducts classes in reading, writing, math, science and social studies. It offers a range of activities that includes art, band, dance, music and physical education. It provides special education classes for gifted and talented students. Lake Butler Middle School also conducts classes in agriculture, world geography and computer applications. The school provides food, guidance counseling and health care. It supports a variety of sports activities, such as football, baseball, basketball, softball, volleyball and cheerleading. In addition, it offers several after-school programs and organizes cultural events. The school is a part of Union County District Schools, which serves more than 2,000 students through various elementary, middle and high schools.
