Vinton Elementary School is an educational institution that has been providing academic services since 1994. It offers a range of curricular and extracurricular programs for more than 500 students in kindergarten through grade five. The school has a staff of over 35 individuals, as well as features a media center, cafeteria, gymnasium and nearly 20 classrooms. It imparts instruction in art, music and physical education. Vinton Elementary School participates in the Title I program and organizes parent-teacher conferences. It provides volunteer opportunities in the areas of organizing field trips, classroom tutoring and lunchroom help for parents. Additionally, the school follows the educational assessment guidelines of the Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA) and the Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress (ISTEP+). Vinton Elementary School is a part of Lafayette School Corporation, which governs elementary, middle and high schools.
