We just had a wonderful dinner at Abbott Texas Hots on Abbott Road in Lackawanna, New York. The server was very prompt, thorough, and attentive. We ordered the Friday Special Fish Fry ( under $7). The breaded fresh piece of fish touched both ends of the twelve inch dinner plate. The rest of the plate was piled with fresh homemade (from scratch) potato salad, homemade macaroni salad, and homemade cole slaw. The plate was garnished with a slice of fresh lemon, and a small cup of homemade tarter sauce. The dinner included buttered rye bread. If you are in or near Lackawanna or South Buffalo on a Friday, you should make Abbott Texas Hots your choice for a Friday Fish Fry.

A GREAT PLACE TO HAVE A GOOD BREAKFAST, luncheonette DINNER.CLEAN AND PRICES FAIR,NICE ATMOSPHERE
We exited the I90 at exit 55 to try and find a drug store. About 1/2 a mile down the main road from the I90 exit (Ridge Road) we found a Wallgreens. We got our things and found this small restaurant about a block away on Abbott Road.It was like taking a trip back to the local hometown mainstreet diner. The place was extremely clean, very bus,y and the prices are very reasonable. The wife had two eggs, rye toast, sausage, home made homefried potatoes, and coffee for about $4. I had a huge ham and cheese omelet, homefries, toast, and coffee for a little more that $5. The omelet was loaded with ground ham and sort of a filling of cheese. Everything was served up very fast and came to the table hot.The cook was the owner - John. John works the grill much the same as a famous conductor directs a large orchestra.Food is great, prices are great, and service is the greatest. If you are passing exit 55 on the I90, near Buffalo, it is well worth taking the 1/2 mile detour.
