Would never use them again. Asked to get aeration and extra seed. They had to come back two extra times since they didn't lay much if any seed on the yard. spent $300. I had to get extra seed from the GrassPad. Steve called again and I asked him to remove me from his customer list. Steve got really nasty on the phone. Never ever use them. They get a negative rating.

Horrible Business Practices. He is unethical and has poor morals. He agreed to spray for dandelions and agreed on a set price to my elderly mother who is on a fixed income. When she received the bill, it was twice the amount he quoted. When Steve was called regarding why he charged twice the amount, he stated did other work that was unauthorized by my Mother. When he was asked why he took it upon himself to complete unauthorized work and charge for it, he stated my mother owed the balance and could pay when she wanted. My mother advised him she was only going to pay the price and work they agreed upon. He has continued to harass her for the overcharged amount and turned her over to collection. I have been doing research and this is common practice for Steve's Lawn Care. He has 24 complaints from the BBB on completing unauthorized work, overcharging customers and turning them over to collection. Steve is a PREDATOR of the elderly and should be avoided at all cost. I am currently filing a complaint with Nebraska's Attorney General Office for poor business practice. He should be put out of business!!

Awesome!!! Steve is a stand up guy. He absolutely turn our disaster of a yard into the most gorgeous yard in the neighborhood. Never tried to trick us into any unneeded stuff always called ahead of time before coming out. All of these negative comments are probably from low life who don't or can't pay their bills. Then don't sign up for something you can't afford. Customer for life and definitely recommend to anyone.

I hired Stevew when he came to my house unannounced. Talked me into the monthly $35 service that ended up being a $70 service every month. THen when I asked him to stop coming because I wasn't aware it was going to cost so much, he said it would only be the $35 from then on. It continued to be the $70 every month. He told from the beginning that i could make payments "whatever i could afford" because I told him I couldn't afford lawn care. Yet he continues to harrass me wanting "$100, $200-$500 payments". SO MAD I got involved with him and his service. AND my yard didn't look anything like what he said it would.

Best lawn service! Steve and his staff are awesome. Service is timely and well priced. I wouldn't use another for the quality and price.

Worst lawn service ever!! Promised a beautiful yard which died after a month last year. Came back and reseeded - don't think any fertilizer was used. It died. We seeded ourselves this spring and it is coming in beautifully. This guy and his workers are unethical and incompetent. DO NOT HIRE!!!

Steve solicited his services to my home last spring. I never agreed to have him provide any services, and never saw any proof that any service was actually provided. I was harassed and threatened by Steve for payment of a service that did not happen nor did I agree to have. His business practices are illegal and unethical.

I have Steve's Yard Care for three years and he has turned our yard from the worst yard on the block to the best yard on the block! Everyone always comments on how beautiful it is!!! I will use him for years to come! Thank you Steve!

I am new to Omaha and decided to try this company because of an ad in the paper. I only needed the yard aerated but he talked me into some seed and fertilizer...ok, no big deal. Then he started doing stuff on his own without my permission and sent me the bill. If i didn't pay it, it would have ruined my credit and gone to collections. The worst thing if all is that they left my gate open and my dog got our and was nearly killed by a car. No apologies, no discounts for nearly killing my dog...just a bill in the mail. This company is horrible and they have no ethics and no customer service. Do NOT use this company because the next dead dog may be yours...and they won't be sorry about it.

Steve approached my wife, while she was holding back 2 dogs and 9 months pregnant. Steve was close to yelling at her that he could do a better job at aerating my lawn. It's not that that time yet! She said he was completely rude and said my current guy has no idea what he's doing. My current guy has been doing lawns for almost 15 yrs. watch out for this guy! The reviews I've read, is that he does multiple treats an if you don't pay, he sends you to collections. When I called him to ask why he was rude to my wife, he claimed he wasn't and it wasn't him, then it was him and his sidekick. Don't hire this jackass!!

Absolutely horrible service, individual and follow through. Promised 2 treatments for $35.00,, in person, on my doorstep, just to get started, only did one and started immediate billing Asked when the 2nd treatment was going to be done and was told each treatment was going to be $35.00. This was from Steve the owner, who is a liar and a cheat. Then continued to call and assumed I wanted him to continue to lie to me and cheat me with incredibly poor service. Received another call on a Sunday night, asked again when the 2nd treatment was going to be done, effectively told me he had lied to me and started cursing and physically threatening me over the phone. Invited me to meet at his shop so he could 'teach me a lesson'. Read his better business bureau complaints, Keep the comments coming so the good services out there can run this company out of business. This business doesn't even deserve the one star rating you have to give to post.

I have used Steve's Yard Care for a couple of years now and our yard has never looked better!! They always call first to approve the work along with giving a price. They always do what they say they are going to for the price they say and are always polite! I have read the other reviews and I wonder what is the real story...is it just someone who dose not want to pay for services?!

They done a great job for me on my yard. It looks the best ever!

In general, try to avoid verbal contracts. Anyone that wants you to agree to something but won't put it into writing, just isn't worth the time. And they are very likely out to scam you

I used Steve's Yard Care ONCE to have my lawn aerated. This was years ago and they did an ok job, but it was just lawn aeration. Nothing special. The problem that STILL persists after all these years is that they keep calling me to solicit more work even though I told them to stop calling. The first couple of times they called I told them never to call me and that I would contact them if I needed more work done. The person said "Ok," but I've been getting calls from them every couple of months ever since. This has been going on for YEARS. Fortunately, its infrequent enough that I can just ignore them. But I would never hire them again given this unprofessional behavior AND the D-minus rating by the BBB (as of November, 2011; do a search using "steves yard care bbb" and the link will come right up).

Have no complains, did a great job. I got the best yard on the neighborehood so far. will recommend him to my friends. on the down side, he should have a website.

I am adding to this...All I want to add is ..go to BBB website..they will tell you about Steves Yard Care. Stay away from Steves Yard Care in La Vista....This company applies chemicals without permission and sends you a bill. He has no 7 step program...he tells his guys if they are in the area applysomething and leaves the bill on your front door. Then when you refuse to pay ..he sends you to a collection agency...I am going to fight this last unauthorized application in court with the man. Update; Went to small claims court...no one from the company showed up..I won the judgement...You don't have to believe me just go to the BBB website...D- and a warning to stay away from this business.
