VSM Sewing began in 1689, when the King of Sweden built a weapons factory beside the mighty waterfalls in Huskvarna. In 1872, some of the artisans working there switched from crafting firearms to making sewing machines. VSM Sewing produces the Husqvarna Viking brand of sewing machines and sergers. The company s products include sewing machines, overlocks, embroidery machines, quilting machines, cabinets and software and accessories. Twice a year, it publishes Zig Zag magazine, which offers advice and inspiration to VSM Sewing s customers. Husqvarna Viking dealers can be found nationwide. VSM Sewing s United States headquarters are in Westlake, Ohio.
