Based in LaSalle, Ill., North Central Behavioral Health Systems, also known as NCBHS, is a Medicare-certified organization that provides health promotion, prevention and behavioral health care services. The organization offers a wide range of mental health services for people of all age groups. Its mental health services include group therapy, screening and assessment, outpatient counseling, psychiatric evaluation and testing, case management, crisis intervention, respite care and community-integrated living arrangements. The organization offers a wide range of substance abuse services, including assessment and education for driving under the influence of alcohol; individual, group and family counseling; adolescent and adult assessment and counseling; early intervention programs for youths at risk; and relapse prevention counseling. It is approved by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the Illinois Department of Human Services Office of Mental Health and the Illinois Department of Human Services Office of Alcoholism & Substance Abuse.
