We strive to provide each family we serve with thoughtful, caring and professional service. Our purpose is to lighten your burdens while helping you celebrate the life of your loved one. Essling Funeral Home was founded in 1958 by Vincent and Ellen Essling. In 1969 the couple were able to build a new facility to help meet the needs of LaPorte community families. Vincent and Ellen continued to own and operate the funeral home until 1992, the year both passed away. Since their deaths, their son Mark Essling has continued the family tradition of providing compassionate, professional service to community families. Staff members of Essling Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors.
