I have been to ponderosa pizza numerous times. I have always had outstanding customer service. The chicken and spuds are the best around. I normally don't eat a lot of pizza but I got to hand it to them....it was really good. I read a comment from a previous customer stating that he or she was told they could get a 12 oz glass of beer without sharing. That is so far from the truth. It stated they ordered a pitcher. The pitchers at ponderosa are 64 ozs not 12. I asked and was told that discretion to sell a full pitcher to one drinker is totally up to server. Normally a pitcher that size is shared. I was alone so they offered a pint which is 16 ozs. I was able to get another pint later during my meal which totalled 32 ozs which was plenty. So I'm a little confused why they were given such a low rate. To me it was not warranted. Give them a try...great family environment and great food.
Big Brother (or in this case Big Sister) Never Gives Up I went to Ponderosa Pizza in La Pine at about 2:30. Having been doing landscape work on my property all day without a break I was hot, thirsty, and hungry. I went in and ordered a small Hawaiian pizza (add onions) and a pitcher of Coors light. An elderly lady took my order and questioned whether I was having a companion share the pitcher of beer. I told her I was alone and had no intent on sharing it with anybody. She then informed me she was prohibited from serving me anything but a mug of beer (which she called a pint). Anybody knows that a pitcher of beer is equal to 4 pints (12 ounces) of beer, which is not an excessive amount of beer. I told her to cancel my order and went somewhere else where I was able to order a hamburger and my pitcher of Coors light. I will not be returning to Ponderosa in the future because I am 64 years old and no longer answer to my mother, let alone someone in a pizza parlor acting like her.
