Off Oregon Route 97, this low-key, family-owned motel is 10.7 miles from LaPine State Park, 23.3 miles from the High Desert Museum in Bend and 60.8 miles from Crater Lake National Park. The 9 rooms are modestly decorated and feature coffeemakers, microwaves and minifridges, as well as flat-screen TVs and free WiFi. Rooms with kitchens and sofabeds are also available. Our RV park has monthly rates. There's also a barbecue and picnic area for guest use. Contact us for rates and availability.

Don't be misled by the book's cover. The Highlander Motel overdelivers. Reasonable pricing for rooms with kitchenettes, & a variety of room selections. Very personable staff; but actually, all of La Pine was like that. Next to (also own?) a gas station, it made things easy. I guess they also have an RV Park behind the front buildings.

Visited Motel in December 2011 and was very pleased. People were super friendly and eagor to make my stay pleasant. Want to give a special thanks to Mary, she was a great lady and very professional. Her husband David was an extremely hard worker, never still, always on the move helping the customers. Thank you all for making my stay a peaceful one.
