This is a legendary truck stop in Central Oregon. Remember were talking about a truck stop, not some five star restaurant, great food and portions at a very fair price, plus the staff is very pleasant and fast. Their open 24 hours a day. Besides the restaurant you can fuel up and visit the convenience store. Everything considered this is a great stop along Hwy 97 in La Pine.

The food at this location was very good, but the service was truly awful. We had to order our iced tea 3 times before it arrived at the table, then only 1 was served. We tried repeatedly to request refills & were summarily ignored. Finally, after waiting at least 20 minutes, my boyfriend walked up to the front counter to get refills. The owner gave both waitresses a dirty look & we thought it would get better. But, no such luck! We asked several times but never got any of the condiments we requested. We were going to order pie for dessert, but waited another 15 minutes for no service. We finally gave up & went to the front counter to get our check & pay the bill. I asked for a copy of the receipt for expenses, which she immediately lost. When asked how everything was, we tried to politely explain how bad the service had been & were given a vacant stare for our trouble with an option to talk to the manager whom we never got to speak to in the end. Avoid this place if you like service.

Our truck was broke down for 2 days and the hospitality was wonderful. The food was fresh and home made mom and pop, delicious and very generous portions. The pot roast was "Class A". Thanks for the wonderful warm feeling. July, 2009
