Michels Family Dental is truly a family orientated dental office -- an office where every patient is treated with dignity and respect, as if they were part of the family. Dr. Alan Michels graduated from the University of Southern California Dental School over 30 years ago and now works with two of his seven sons, Steven and Paul, to provide the latest in dental care in a trusting environment. They also work with carefully selected team members who share their values, and their passion for creating lasting dental health for their patients.

I have always had the best experience during my visits at Michels Family Dental. I am treated with the highest quality of care and will continue scheduling my dental appointments here. If I could give more stars I would.
I will soon be having an implant. Today the graft shield was removed and an impression was taken. The upcoming procedure was again reviewed, as were the payment options. As usual, the appointment was timely yet thorough.
My husband and I really like the hygienist really like Sharon as well as all of members of the office staff.
They care about your individual needs whether it be needles of just uncomfortable. The listen and ask how you are feeling and were able to put up with me. Thank you to Natalie, to the doc, the the first up front. Keep up the good work!
The place is cozy, clean, and inviting. The staff are very friendly and informative. I absolutely loved my dentist and hygienist. They both took time to explain things to me and made me feel very comfortable. I will definitely keep coming here!
I have never found any faults with the dental care in your office. I am sure I have teeth in my mouth that would have been removed by a lesser Dr. in the name of expediency, rather than retaining them in the name of the patients good health.....Thank you.

Having first implant to replace a failed bridge. As with all other services provided by Dr O everything is very precise, well explained and performed with the utmost of profesionalism by he and his staff, from the front office to the chair. I have high expectations, especially in the medical/dental areas as many procedures are a one time event, there is no room for less then perfect. This is why Dr. Olinger is our family dentist...for 5 years since returning to San Diego.
The dentists and their staff members once again provided me with terrific service and managed all of my dental needs.
I was only planning to use the Amazon Local coupon for a cleaning (one-time visit), but all of the people I dealt with at Michels were so friendly and professional that I became a client. Looking forward to future visits.
This is by far the best experience I have had with a dental office. Extremely friendly and comfortable atmosphere. The dental areas all appear exceptionally clean. The equipment is modern and the dentist ensures that I am aware of everything he is doing to each tooth and that I am as comfortable as possible. I also like that the woman in the front office is professional and gave me information about a cash pay program that allowed me to save a bit of money without me having to ask. I am extremely happy that I have finally found a trustworthy, functional and friendly dentist office in La Mesa.
After losing my regular family dentist to a illness. It apears that we have found that a new family dentist with Michels Family Dental, which makes the wife an I finally feel at ease.

Dr. Fjeldsted is fast becoming my hero! I (unfortunately) spend a lot of time at the dentist's and I truly appreciate his expertise and reassuring manner. He is very thorough in explaining things and also very gentle.

My experience was almost completely painless. The whole staff here seem to be genuinely concerned about making a trip to the dentist as enjoyable as possible. Their friendly demeanor puts one at ease as soon as you walk into the office. The Dentist and his assistant were very friendly, yet professional in my treatment and both were obviously highly skilled. I would recommend Michael's Family Dentistry to anyone needing dental work!

it sure sounds to me like the employees at Michels Family Dental are making some fake reviews. Most of them are generic and not detailed about anything. If you are going to post fake reviews, make some effort and put some detail into it.
I love that the office is always immaculate, the staff always friendly and professional, and I feel they listen to and answer my questions and concerns when I come in. One big draw, too, is that they offer a 20% discount because I have no dental insurance. I appreciate the competence of the staff, and feel that they take good care of my dental problems and emphasize prevention, as well.
You all were very adept at soothing someone who has been afraid of dental work for most of my life. Thanks for being informative and telling me what to expect.
