Most recently, my disabled son who was walking right behind me after we shopped here, decided to walk along one of the islands in the parking lot where the plants are. He lost his balance on the gravel and fell into these short round innocent looking plants and ended up with puncture wounds on his side's, arms & legs. He was covered in blood. It shocked me how much these plants injured my son! I took him back in, spoke with two managers, one was very nice and helpful with bringing papertowels and alcohol pads as I cleaned up the blood. The manager taking our information was very cold and unconcerned. I assumed this was because I had asked him earlier for a discount on a discontinued item but after thinking about it, he had the same demeanor at that time so I guess he was just in a scrappy mood or maybe that's just him. When I received a call about this incident, I was met with the same attitude. No concern for children in that parking lot. He stated the property does not belong to HEB, they cannot do anything because that decision would be up to the property owner. No attempt was made to offer me the owners information but I had a feeling this information was not true anyway. I feel that their bottom line is more important than their shoppers children's safety! I do not shop here now unless I have to. Years ago there was an incident not involving my child but my new car being damaged by a runaway basket due to over filled basket corrals. After they viewed the cameras to see how my car got damaged, I got the runaround until I finally decided that it wasn't worth the trouble. Wish this was not our only grocery store here in Kyle!
