Howard Regional Health System West Campus Specialty Hospital is a 30 bed comprehensive rehabilitation facility offering specialized inpatient and outpatient programs including an extensive and comprehensive orthopedic rehabilitation program. Program Goals Identify the patient's functional deficits. Validate rehabilitation objectives & goals based on the patient's goals and evaluate findings. Develop a comprehensive rehabilitation plan. Provide continuous evaluation, adjusting the program accordingly. Program Features Multidisciplinary team including a physician, nurse, physical therapist, occupational therapist and case manager. Daily physician rounds. 25 hours of therapy per day, based on severity of illness and patient tolerance. Independent Living Center and apartment for home life simulation. Adaptive equipment prescribed and education regarding use provided. Family training included. Coordination of orthotic and prosthetic services. Outpatient department for continued PT and OT services. Assistance with discharge planning and community reentry. Family support and education.
