The Peerless Restaurant, established in 1938, is a casual restaurant that offers a variety of food items. It offers classic steakhouse, greenhouse, Caesar, seared ahi tuna and Bangkok Thai noodle salads. The restaurant also serves fresh chicken tender, western steak sandwich, chopped steak burger, prime rib-French loaf, angel hair pasta, grilled chicken Mediterranean and health plate. The Peerless Restaurant, with a location in Knoxville, Tenn., additionally offers various seafood items, such as saut ed shellfish, jumbo shrimp, sea scallops, shrimp scampi and quick fried oysters. We eat at the Peerless atleast twice per month. We started eating years ago in Johnson City location, but now live in Knoxville. We love the Peerless in Knoxville. They offer even more menu items and the food is excellent. We heard that the chef there is on Hell's Kitchen on Fox TV starting end of Jan. I love the seafood, it always prepared perfect and the quality is outstanding. My son always eat the Filet Mignon and swears its the best he ever had anywhere.My wife loves the Famous Grecian Salad Entree salad with Chicken. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and the restaurant is designed wonderfully - best in town.We love the place and recommend it. We also like Nama's sushi bar, and Gus' Goodtime Deli on the strip at UT and Carrabas and Naples.
