I went by the Maynardville Hwy Goodwill Store on Saturday, June 24 to drop off some shoes. There was a note posted on the door stating they were full and not accepting donations. BUT, being as I had 3 plastic grocery bags of only shoes, I left them at the door. Just as I was getting back in to my car, a heavy set, gruffy looking guy opened the door and told me to take them back. These were seldom worn, good, clean, brand name tennis shoes. But I did as he asked and I dropped them off at Community Chest in Powell, who were delighted to get them. I am wondering if it is common for a Goodwill Store to not accept donations??

Good size store but not much selection, prices high as well compared to other Goodwill stores.
