SinterMet, an ISO 9001:2000-certified company, specializes in the research, development and manufacturing of tungsten carbide rolls for bar and rod mills. It is a subsidiary of Hitachi Metal America, a company that undertakes marketing and manufacturing of specialized products for the automotive, telecommunications, metal forming and cutting tool industries. SinterMet s line of products includes wire, prefinisher, pinch and sizing mill rolls. Its product line also includes SMETiC 2000 guide rolls and Shur-Lock and Shur-Clad composite rolls. Established in 1975, SinterMet is located in Kittanning, Pa.
