Kelly Walsh, M.M. is an experienced, patient teacher and classical pianist (performance videos can be seen at www.celebrationpianolessons.com). She specializes in the music education of intermediate and advanced adults and young adults. Kelly can help you acquire good piano technique to play difficult music with ease, teach you how to phrase music for beautiful, lyrical playing, and show you how to practice efficiently to make the most progress during your practice time. Kelly personalizes her lessons for each student, to address his or her specific challenges. Perhaps you practice regularly but your pieces don't seem to advance? Or, maybe you need the discipline of a regular lesson to keep you motivated. Private lessons are offered in students' homes in the town of Celebration only, or world-wide via live online lessons. Ms.Walsh earned her Master of Music degree as a piano performance major at Combs' College of Music in Philadelphia where she was awarded with a scholarship and a teaching fellowship. Upon graduating, Kelly devoted many years to teaching piano and music education classes in various schools and colleges in the Northeast. In 1999 Kelly founded Walsh Piano Studio in Jupiter, Florida where she taught for sixteen years. Her reputation as an expressive pianist and an exacting musician made her a highly sought-after piano instructor. Aside from teaching and managing her studio, she wrote and was granted two United States patents for a music reading method she created. In 2016, Kelly relocated to central Florida and reestablished Walsh Piano Studio in the town of Celebration. She is the author of Wordspeller, a music reading textbook that is currently featured on Amazon.com. Today, Kelly lives with her husband and two pampered Chihuahuas. She enjoys learning French and biking.
